Modes of Instruction

In Person (P) – Section Number Display: 001, 002, 003
Course section is offered 100% on campus. These sections meet in person during the specified day(s)/time(s). The class displays a Facility ID (Classroom) and day(s)/time(s) in the Portal.

HyFlex (HF) – Section Number Display: 001, 002, 003
"Hybrid with Flexibility." Course section is offered as a combination of in-person and online content. Students should expect to be available for all of the days and times listed, and may be required to attend in-person class meetings dependent on the instructor's syllabus. Please reach out to the instructor/department for further details on how to expect this specific HyFlex course section to run. Class will display the Facility ID (classroom) and day(s)/time(s) in the student portal. No online fee associated.

Hybrid (H1) – Section Number Display: H01, H02, H03
Course section is offered in person during the specified day(s)/time(s) with additional online content. Class displays a Facility ID (Classroom) and day(s)/time(s) in the Portal. Hybrid and blended course sections are differentiated by their ratio of in person to online instruction.

• Hybrid – instruction is mostly online (50% - 99% online)

Blended (H2) – Section Number Display: B01, B02, B03
Course section is offered in person during the specified day(s)/time(s) with additional online content. Class displays a Facility ID (Classroom) and day(s)/time(s) in the Portal. Hybrid and blended course sections are differentiated by their ratio of in person to online instruction.

• Blended – instruction is mostly in the classroom (1% - 49% online)

Online Synchronous (OS) – Section Number Display: OS1, OS2, OS3
Course section is offered 100% online, meeting during the specified day(s)/time(s). Class displays the Facility ID “Meets Online” with day(s)/time(s) in the Portal. These sections have been strategically structured to be offered in an online format. All OS class sections have a $100 online course fee associated.

Online Asynchronous (OA) – Section Number Display: OL1, OL2, OL3
Course section is offered 100% online with no required meeting day(s)/time(s). These sections have been strategically structured to be offered in an online format. All OL class sections have a $100 online course fee associated.
