Standard Time Modules

Fall and Spring Semesters

Classes MUST adhere to the standard time modules noted below.  Courses not scheduled during appropriate time blocks will NOT be assigned a room in round 1. Note: time modules listed are for a 3.0 credit course. Courses with greater or fewer credit hours must begin at a standard start time.

 

Single-Block Time Modules

16-week term

(MW or TR for 3.0 credit course)

Day time modules

8:00 am - 9:15 am
9:25 am - 10:40 am
10:50 am - 12:05 pm
12:15 pm - 1:30 pm
1:40 pm -  2:55 pm
3:05 pm -  4:20 pm

EVENING TIME MODULES

4:45 pm - 6:00 pm
6:05 pm - 7:20 pm
7:30 pm - 8:45 pm
8:50 pm - 10:05 pm

Double-Block Time Modules*

16-week term

(one day a week for 3.0 credit course)

Day time modules

8:00 am - 10:40 am
10:50 am - 1:30 pm
1:40 pm - 4:20 pm

 

EVENING TIME MODULES

4:45 pm - 7:20 pm
7:30 pm - 10:05 pm

Classes which begin prior to 4:45 pm may not overlap into the evening time modules.

*Exception: Classes offered on Fridays may utilize 9:25 am - 12:05 pm and 12:15 pm - 2:55 pm time blocks in addition to the standard blocks.

COURSES OFFERED IN CONDENSED FORMATS

For courses being offered in a condensed format (i.e., 4-week block, 2-week intensive or 1-week intensive), please be sure to schedule the appropriate number of meeting dates allowing for the minimum amount of contact time for the activity type. An example would be a 3-credit lecture course which requires a minimum of 40 hours of contact time. This course could meet:

8-weeks:             MW; 8:00 am - 10:40 am
4-weeks:             MTWR; 8:00 am  - 10:40 am
2-weeks:             MTWRF; 8:00 am - 12:30 pm (assumes two short breaks)
1-week:               MTWRF; 8:00 am - 5:00 pm (assumes lunch + two short breaks)

Each condensed course must begin and end within the pre-term period, or the first 8-week session (Session A) or the second 8-week session (Session B).
