Instructor Provisioning - Adding or Updating Instructors in CU-SIS

  1. To initiate this process, Departments must confirm that the following tasks have been completed in the Human Resource Office's HCM portal system:
    • Letter of Offer (LOO)
    • Background Check
    • I-9
    • 6-digit EMPL ID creation
    • Etc. per HR hiring process

Auto-generation process should be initiated on the back-end once HR hiring process is complete.

  2. Once HCM tasks are complete - Department can now submit an OnBase Instructor Provisioning form using the following link:

    Form Link

The following information must be included on form submissions:

    • Effective Term
    • Effective Year
    • Instructor First/Last Name
    • 6-digit EMPL ID#
    • Instructor Type
    • College
    • Subject Code(s), i.e. courses being taught
  3. Curriculum Management confirms that the CU-SIS ID# has been created via the auto-generation process.

In the event that there is any issues with the above process - Curriculum Management team may need to reach out to University Information Systems (UIS) to assist.

  4. Curriculum Management processes Dept form using this instructor CU-SIS ID# to set-up or update each instructor provision table, allowing them to be added as an instructor to a course section(s).
